Fiji Airways was originally name Air Pacific. It was renamed and rebranded to its current name in the early 2000s when it came under new management. I flew twice with Air Pacific. One on a Boeing B 767-300 from Sydney to Nadi, and once in the opposite direction on the Boeing B 747-200. Especially the second flight was rather interesting, as we departed in the wake of hurricane Gavin.
