Here is the Link to the CitizenM website.
In Paris I am staying at the CitizenM near Terminal 3 at Roissy Airport. The CitizenM is a Dutch based hotel chain, with facilities in Amsterdam, London, New York, Glasgow and Paris. The main objective of the hotel, according to the website, is to provide affordable style and luxury to modern travellers.

If you visit their website, do not be put off. Admittedly, there is something seemingly pretentious and somewhat obnoxious about the brand, but their hotels are really quite nice and comfortable.
The public area of the hotel is spacious and generously laid out, with many comfortable and equally chic seating options. There is no restaurant as such, just a bar and a 24-hour self-service canteen style buffet with a limited but usually quite tasty selection of hot and cold dishes.

In contrast, the rooms are quite small and compact, dinky in fact. In all honesty, the rooms look as though they were designed with every intention of making sure guests spend as little time as possible in them. There is a large double bed that takes up the width of the room, pushed up against the window. There is not all that much storage space, except for a drawer underneath the bed and a rail with two or three hangers. Every room comes with:
- a safe,
- a fridge,
- toilet and shower with amenities,
- free wifi,
- free movies,
- mood lighting and
- a tablet device to control the mood lighting, blinds and all the other appliances in the room.

Check-in and check-out is completely self-service and very easy. And there is always somebody from the hotel available in case you have any questions or if you would like to change the room you are in. Oh yes, and the views of the airport from the fifth floor are just brilliant!
