I suspect that part of my fascination with trains is rooted in the fact that I read Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express at a very young and susceptible age. I love that book. The plot is, well, typical Agathe Christie. But I just found the whole idea of an overnight journey by train very appealing.
