The Hilton am Stadtpark is located right across the road from the railway station at Wien Mitte, which is the terminus station of the CAT airport train.
The hotel is perfectly situated near the old town and the tourist sights.

Since my last stay, the entire hotel has been renovated, and it looks very nice. The lobby is spacious. However, the hotel clearly caters to package tours, so it tends to get rather busy.
The service at check-in is good. There’s only a short wait and the young lady checking me in is swift and efficient.

My room is located on the tenth floor. I don’t know how long it’s been since the renovation, but I think it must be fairly recent because the furniture hardly shows any signs of wear and tear.

The room is fairly large and spacious. It’s also very quiet. There’s hardly any noise coming from the outside, and there’s no discernible noise from the neighbouring rooms either.

The bathroom is nice and has a walk-in shower. To me, the standard for the quality of a hotel room is measured in the extent to which you can take a shower without flooding the entire bathroom. In that respect, I’d say this is an 7 out of 10 on the KM scale. The floor is damp, but no serious flooding.
The amenities in the bathroom are by Crabtree, which is an improvement over what they used to have. The shower gel’s scent is subtle.

The hotel is very busy during my stay. On the Sunday I go down to breakfast at 06h30, before I head to the airport, and there’s already a queue forming to enter the restaurant. That’s also why I don’t take any photos of the breakfast buffet. There are just too many people. In any case, the breakfast is extensive, and offers a very wide range of hot and cold dishes – including some that are typically Austrian, but that I also suspect are more dessert than breakfast food.
After my previous stay at the hotel I was not too impressed. This time though, I’m quite impressed by how much they’ve managed to do to the facility. This is a serious improvement!

Stayed here MANY years ago and thought it was very good—— it had a different name, and there was no CAT to the airport. In fact i prefered it to The Grand hotel that i had stayed in a few months before. After checking out ,went to the Airport, Sampled the Swissair First class lounge ,a dull windowless room with unit seating for ,perhaps,15 people, and then took SR433 to Zurich——- a very smart MD81 ,with great service and fine views of the alps.
That should have read the BRISTOL Hotet!!
