The Stately Sofitel Jardin des Roses in Rabat

Location

In Rabat I’m staying at the Sofitel Jardin des Roses, which is situated on the outskirts of Rabat. It has a very different feel to the Sofitel in Casablanca. The large park it is situated in gives you a sense of being at a beach resort, and not in a capital city.

The Lobby

The lobby is generously laid out. Off to one side is the lobby bar, which is framed by a small shopping arcade.

The Junior Suite

I’ve been upgraded again. This time to what the hotel refers to as a Junior Suite. The room opens into a large living room that also has a small dining area.

The bedroom is quite large and has a balcony overlooking the pool and the hotel grounds.

As at the Sofitel in Casablanca, the bathroom is big enough to throw a party. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.

Off to the side of the entrance hall, there is a separate toilet for visitors and a walk-in closet.

Shortly after I arrive in the room, there’s a knock at the door, and a plate with sweets, a bottle of water and a welcome card are delivered.

Conclusion

The Sofitel Jardin des Roses Rabat and the Sofitel La Tour Blanche in Casablanca are two very nice and well kept properties. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Of course, it certainly helped that I got a generous upgrade at both hotels to a very nice suite, owing to my Accor diamond status.

    1. OK william,So im a bit of a fusspot when it comes to interiors——–why couldnt they extend the ‘Taupe’ capet seen elsewhere, instead of introducing those hideous stripes——just saying!

    1. A bit more—To me the stripes lack subtlety——– i think plain would look better——-We all have different tastes.!!!

  1. Nice upgrade again. I’d say this suite was even nicer looking than the one in Casablanca.

How easy is it to access the city from the hotel?
