The Comfortable MGallery Rotary Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland

In Geneva I’m staying at the MGallery Rotary Hotel, which is an Accor property located on a quiet street halfway between the station and the lake.

I‘m staying in a Signature Room, which is large and spacious. As you enter the room, there is a foyer, which connects the bedroom, bathroom, and the separate toilet.

Up ahead, opposite the front door to the room, is the bathroom. Of course, the design of the bathroom is a matter of personal taste. What I will say though, is that the rainforest showerhead and the water pressure are an absolute delight. And it is possible to have a shower without flooding the whole bathroom.

The cosmetics in the room are by a company from Brazil that I‘ve never heard of. They’re nice and have a refreshing citrusy smell. The Signature Rooms have complimentary bath robes and slippers.

The bedroom has a large queen bed. The pillows are nice and fluffy and the mattress is sufficiently hard to not cause any issues for my slipped discs.

The furniture in the room is old fashioned. I rather like it. There is a large writing desk and reading lamp.

An old wooden cupboard.

And a small coffee table and chair by the window.

When I arrive at the hotel on the first evening, there is a small box of chocolate almonds and a packaged oshibori waiting for me.

In this room category, everything from the minibar is complimentary. Additionally, there is a water boiler with a selection of biscuits and teas, a Nespresso machine and capsules with cream and sugar. The minibar contains a wide selection of soft drinks.

Breakfast is served downstairs in the lobby restaurant on the ground floor, and starts at 06:30 in the morning.

The breakfast buffet has quite a nice spread. In addition, there are hot food options that can be ordered from the menu at no extra cost.

The lady working the early morning shift at the restaurant is lovely and very charming. When I come down for breakfast on the second day, she’s already memorized what I had to drink the previous morning and immediately asks if I‘d like the same, which she then very quickly brings to my table.

The MGallery Rotary Geneva is a nice property in a great location, within easy walking distance to the main station at Cornavin and the lake. The staff at the hotel are great and the breakfast is nice.

The hotel has an appealing and elegant old world charm. If you‘re looking for flashy and ostentatious, this is likely not the place for you. But if you‘re looking for a comfortable place to return to after a busy day of work or sightseeing, I can certainly recommend the MGallery Geneva!
