  1. The Maltese integrated phenomenally and have been great Australians. I can’t speak highly enough of them.

    1. Hi Nic, I’m glad to hear that. It’s always so funny for me that Sydney and Melbourne are the only two places outside Malta where I’ve ever heard Maltese.

  2. A lucky plane swap indeed. How crowded did the business class end up being?

Hopefully the renovations at LCA will be beneficial. It seems like quite a few European airports are being renovated these days. At least the lounge looks decent now.

  3. Wow, you really lucked in with the reconfigured B777 on this short flight! I find with EK cabin crew when they’re good, they’re really good, especially in the premium cabins.

      1. On so many trip reports I read people always say EK cabin crew can be robotic in their duties compared to, say, Asian carriers like SQ and CX. I’ve never personally found EK crew to be robotic but highly professional and polished. And when they’re good, they’re up there with SQ.

      2. Those complaints about robotic crews I never really get anyway. I mean, Emirates tend to have fairly large Business Class cabin and usually have a good load. As a crew you simply haven’t got the time to give a more personalised service. It would take too long.
